Configuring Speed
Dial Numbers
To change an IP address:
1 Highlight the entry in the multicast address list for which you want to
change the IP address.
1 Click Change IP. The IP Addresses window appears.
2 Make the change you want to the IP Starting address. The NBX 100
selects a set of addresses starting at or near the address specified.
3 Click OK. The system prompts you to continue.
4 Click Yes to continue. The system automatically assigns IP multicast
addresses and hash bins based on the starting address.
5 Reboot the system to make the changes take effect.
Changing Bins
Changing IP bins is useful for changing a single address that may be in
conflict with another system device.
To change IP bins:
1 Select an item from the multicast address list.
2 Click Change Bins. The Change Multicast Bin window appears.
3 Select a bin number from the list of Available Bins.
4 Click OK. The system prompts you to continue.
5 Click Yes to continue.
6 Reboot the system to make the changes take effect.
After an upgrade from an earlier release of the NBX 100 to Release 2.6,
you must enter a new starting IP multicast address enable the system to
regenerate the multicast addresses.
You can create up to 100 System Speed Dial numbers. You can also
create both System Speed Dial and Personal Speed Dial button definitions
and assign them to Groups. Any telephone assigned to a Group has
access to the same button definitions. (Users can create Personal Speed
Dial definitions for buttons that do not already have a button mapping.
Users can also change definitions for any buttons mapped as Personal
Speed Dial buttons, even if those buttons are defined in the Group
Button Mappings.)
