External Settings
Description:
Specifies settings for several aspects of external devices.
Syntax:
ExternalSettings szExternalKeysetPrefix
szFirstAutoDiscoverExtension szDefaultAutoExtension
Arguments:
szExternalKeysetPrefix — The digits to be prepended for Class of Service
(CoS) checking of external calls made in Keyset mode.
szExternalKeysetPrefix specifies the digit(s) to prepend to dialed digits for
external call classification in a Keyset environment.
Example: In the default internal Dial Plan table, the digit 9 instructs the
NBX 100 to connect the call to an external line. When a telephone has a
button mapped to an external device, and the user places a call using
that external device, the NBX 100 prepends the szExternalKeysetPrefix
digit to the digits dialed by a user; then the NBX 100 applies the Dial Plan
tables to determine call classification.
szFirstAutoDiscoverExtension — The first extension to be used when auto
discovering external devices. This must be in the specified range of
lowest/highest external extensions.
szDefaultAutoExtension — The extension the NBX 100 uses when auto
discovering external devices. This is always 500.
