Within an extension list, you can assign a priority to each extension.
When the NBX 100 accesses an extension list, it attempts to use the
highest priority extension first. The NBX 100 uses 1 as the highest priority
and 99 as the lowest.
Example: If the extension list contains extensions assigned to T1 channels,
you can assign unique priorities to each of the extensions. If you instruct
the NBX 100 to place an outgoing call using the T1 line, it attempts to
use the highest priority extension/channel first, and tries the next highest
priority extension/channel if the first is unavailable.
See Figure 25. To add an extension to an extension list, highlight it in
Extensions not in List, and click <<. To change the priority of an extension
already in the list, highlight it, then type the new priority number in the
text box below the list and click Change Priority in List. The priority
changes to the value you typed, and the position of the extension in the
list changes to reflect the new priority. An extension assigned priority 1

(example: TLIM ports)
Routes 1 and 2 use this list.
Contains extension numbers assigned to Digital Line Card
ports.
Routes 1 and 2 use this list.
Contains extension numbers assigned to Voice Mail. For
both 3-digit and 4-digit dial plans, this extension list
automatically contains extension numbers 651 through 654
and can contain extension numbers up to 662 if the NBX
100 uses more Voice Mail extension numbers.
Route 3 uses this list.
Contains the extension for the Attendant (person). The NBX
100 automatically assigns to this list the lowest extension
found during auto discovery.
Route 4 uses this list.
Contains extension numbers assigned to H.323 ports.
Contains extension numbers assigned to Virtual Tie Lines.
Contains extension numbers assigned to the 8-pool.
This list provides support for software releases 1.X, and
enables users to more easily upgrade to later releases.
