CAUTION: When you insert the E1 Digital Line Card, it begins an
initialization sequence. Also, because you enabled the Auto Discover
Digital Line Cards check box, the system recognizes the addition of the E1
card and begins to update its database. Allow 3 minutes for both of these
processes to be completed.
This section tells you how to use NetSet to set up your E1 Digital Line
Card parameters. Before you configure an E1 card, you must configure
the NBX 100 Dial Plan. See Chapter 2 for detailed information on the dial
plan.
This section describes how to configure an E1 Digital Line Card for ISDN
PRI (Primary Rate Interface) signaling.
CAUTION: Before you begin to configure the E1 card, you must wait 3
minutes after inserting the E1 card into the chassis.
Perform these steps.
1 In the NBX 100 NetSet - Main Menu, click the Device Configuration icon.
2 Select the Digital Line Cards tab.
3 Use the MAC address of the E1 card (you recorded this address before
inserting the card into the chassis) to identify the card in the T1/ISDN
Board List.
4 Select the E1 card from the list and click Modify.
