5 When you finish, click Apply. The new settings take effect.
6 Click OK. The System Configuration window reappears with the System
Settings tab displayed.
Configuring System-Level Settings
Purpose
The starting extension number used by Auto Discover
Telephones.
You may select any unused telephone number extension
from 100 to 499 (3-digit dial plan) or 1000 to 4999 (4-digit
dial plan).
The prefix required for an outside line.
Amount of time to wait for receiving Caller ID information.
Reduces the number of packets transmitted during a
conversation.
Enables Auto Discover for various system devices.
Note: After you use Auto Discover during initial system
configuration, 3Com recommends that you leave these
settings disabled so that you can control how and when new
devices are added.
When selected, this adds telephones to the default Call
Pickup Group 0 when telephones are added to the system.
Turn this ON before Auto Discovering telephones if you want
the telephones to appear in Call Pickup.
Enables Ethernet multicasts for Music On Hold (MOH).
MOH Audio should be enabled only if you have a MOH
device connected to the system.
Adds a Priority 6 Virtual LAN identifier to each Ethernet
frame.
Enables MOH audio for Call Transfer; requires MOH installed
and enabled.
Enable to allow handsfree transfers.
