Fader Accessory Panel

AES67/SIP-Unicast

Vmode is used to ingest and egress AES67 defined streams. Version 3.2 introduces support for unicast streams as
defined in AES67. Behind the scene, the receiving device would issue a SIP request to the sending device. This under
the hood technology is in place. On the UI side there are instructions to enter SIP URI for the reception of a unicast
stream, for example sip:8@192.168.101.73. On the transmit side, set the Stream type to "Disabled (SIP connec-
tions possible)". At the far end, the SIP URI to be entered to receive the unicast stream from the engine would be
sip:{number of vmode}@{IP of Engine}, for example sip:10@192.168.101.58.
Version 3.1 added the following features:
Add support for loudness metering based on ITU.BS1770 and supporting EBU R128.
Add support for "Live mode" control of Voco8.
Add support for Source "Unload". Removes a source from console that has ownership of a source,
permitting other console to take ownership.
Add AES67 support in Studio Engine
Support Accessory Panel Support and control of Custom Headphone backfeeds.
Add Phase meter to display.
The Fader Accessory Panel interconnects to the Fusion console interface
board under the overbridge through the CANBUS. On the underside is a
multi-select switch which addresses the module on the bus. Make sure each
module has a unique ID (0 through E) before installing.
Once connected, the module will be ready for configuration on the User
Modules page.
There are two fields to set, "Livewire Channel" and "Fader Livewire
Channel". The "Livewire Channel" will assign the buttons and headphone
selector to a source. The "Fader Livewire Channel" will assign fader to a
source. This allows for flexibility in how the panel is used. So the panel can
be configured for a host position where the host controls her headphone, her
ON state, and fader position or the fader can be used for say the host PC
if she plays audio files from the PC. The panel will not light up unless the
sources are loaded to a channel of the console.
