Read all chapters of this manual carefully before switching on the projector. This manual provi- des basic instructions for operating the AR projector. Installation, preliminary adjustments and procedures that necessitate the removal of the top cover and contact with electrical componen- ts must be performed by authorized, trained technicians.
To prevent harmful mate- rials from being released into the environment and to promote the use of natural materials, SIM2 provides the following information regarding the disposal and recycling of the product. SIM2 BV International s.r.l...
SIM2 recommends that the area surrounding the projection screen is as dark as possible. The AR is a three chip DLP projector and uses three high resolution DMD (red, green, blue). The - se three DMD are precisely aligned through a high precision process that reduces the alignment error to within the foreseen limits of tolerance.
AR now delivers greater light output thanks to a more powerful 350W lamp and the option of high brightness lenses. The improved optical light engine now includes Perfect Fit, a fully-pro - grammable zoom, focus and lens shift feature which enables a lens-free option to create 2.40:1...
The AR is designed for use with large screen sizes – up to 5 m (16.5 ft.) wide. A choice of three high quality glass lenses (T1, T2 and T3) is available, giving the projector a total throw ratio of 1.37-3.90:1.
If you are using a programmable remote control, the setup software probably allows im- • porting of Pronto Hex codes. See SIM2 AR IR Control for a list of all the projector codes in Pronto Hex format, including a number of discrete codes for: ◦...
Operation The AR projector has two IR receivers, one on the front and one on the back of the unit. The operative range of the remote control is approximately 10 m (33 ft.). Make sure that there is no - thing obstructing the infrared beam between the remote control and the IR receiver you are pointing to.
The 3D glasses turn on and off their lenses, in sync with the projector, so that each eye receives exactly the image intended for it. The sync is possible thanks to the RF pulses received by the glasses from the 3D RF emitter. SIM2 BV International s.r.l User Guide...
0.25 m (10 in.) clearance on the left, right and rear sides of the projector. Power Outlets Verify that the powers outlets are grounded and preferably shielded from power surges and fluctuations. A UPS is optional. AR power supply operates on any nominal line voltage between 100-240 V AC, 50-60 Hz. Cables Check planned cable lengths for video and control cables and make sure these lengths do not ex- ceed specifications.
Do not over-tighten the screws. Orientation By default, the AR is configured for a Front in- stallation (projector installed upright and in front of the screen). If the projector is installed...
The AR provides up to 50% of vertical lens shift up. For example, with a 16:9 150 in. diagonal size screen, you can shift the image up to 0.93 m (36.8 in.) above the screen center (see “ Projection Distance” on page 33).
