VJ-2638/1638X/1938WX/1638WX OPERATION MANUAL
Used to prevent the user from coming in contact with the driving mechanism during
the printer operation.
Opened and closed when media is loaded or jammed.
It is normally closed.
Used when installing the printer on a flat floor.
Used to feed the media smoothly when loading or printing on the media.
• Heater (After heater) to dry ink is installed inside VJ-2638/1638X.
• VJ-1938WX/1638WX is not equipped with Heaters.
Installed inside of Front cover.
• Heater (Platen heater) to dry ink is installed inside VJ-2638/1638X.
• VJ-1938WX/1638WX is not equipped with Heaters.
Installed inside of Front cover.
Press and hold the whole media when printing.
Installed inside of Front cover.
Used to cut media straight.
Used to prevent the user from touching the inner mechanical section.
Open/close in the following cases.
• When cleaning Cleaning wiper
• When cleaning circumference of Print head
• When replacing Cutter

By attaching Media holder plates to both sides of the media, media warpage can be
prevented to a degree.
• Used to install Spectrophotometer (SPECTROVUE VM-10) to VJ-2638/1638X.
• VJ-1938WX/1638WX is not equipped with Connector.
Used for collecting waste ink discharged from the printer.
