6.3 Checkback Tester Inputs/Outputs

Table 6–2 lists all the inputs and outputs available for the checkback test option. All 3 inputs are meant to
be momentarily pulsed on and should not have a continuous input applied. You can program the alarm out-
puts to seal or just momentarily toggle when an alarm occurs. When you select sealed operation, the alarm
outputs stay in their active, or energized, states as long as the alarm exists. If you select momentary, the
outputs go to their active states for only five seconds, then return to their previous states. For example,
assume alarms are set to momentary action and the major alarm active state is closed. Normally this output
is open. When a major alarm occurs, the MAJOR ALARM output closes for five seconds then opens again.
The MAJOR ALARM output does not change (again) when the major alarm is cleared.

Inputs
Pulsing this input initiates a checkback test.
Pulsing this input resets all checkback alarms.
Pulsing this input initiates a loopback test to turn on the remote trans-
mitter for "X" seconds per setting.
Outputs
Activates when all checkback tests are completely disabled in set-
tings.
Activates & latches after successful checkback test.
Activates & latches when failing a high-power test.
Activates & latches when failing a low-power test.
Activates & latches when failing to recover from the auto recovery
mode before the recovery windows expires.
Momentarily activates for 1 second after a successful recovery before
the recovery window expires.
Activates while in recovery mode.
Activates at end that initiates checkback test during the whole check-
back test, but activates after a few seconds during checkback test at
remote end.
Activates when automatic checkback tests are disabled in settings.
