Cisco TelePresence SX20 Codec
Introduction

RS-232 / serial connection

The serial connection can be used without an IP address,
DNS or a network. Serial connection is allowed by default.
xConfiguration SerialPort Mode: <Off/On>
For the SX20 codec you need a USB to RS-232 adapter to
connect to the USB port.
Baud-rate and other serial port parameters
The serial port uses 8 data bits, no parity and 1 stop bit. The
default baud rate is set to 38400 bps.
The codec can give very much feedback. We therefore
recommend keeping the connection at this speed or higher
to avoid sluggishness.
You can change the baud rate if required.
xConfiguration SerialPort BaudRate:
<9600/19200/38400/57600/115200>
During the initial boot sequence, the codec uses a baud rate
of 38400 bps regardless of the baud rate you have set.
Login and password
You can choose whether login is required or not for serial
connections. For security reasons the password prompting is
turned on by default, but it can be turned off if preferred.
xConfiguration SerialPort LoginRequired: <Off/On>
