Carefully turn the server on its side so that it is lying flat, with the cover facing up.
Attention: Do not allow the server to fall over.
Step 5.
Remove the left-side cover (see "Removing the left-side cover" on page 187).
Step 6.
Remove the air baffle (see "Removing the air baffle" on page 189).
Step 7.
Remove the fan assembly (see "Removing the fan assembly" on page 39).
Step 8.
The USB connector and operator information panel assembly shown as the illustration.
Step 9.
Press the handle and pull the USB connector and operator information assembly backward out of
the server shown as the illustration.
Step 10. If you are instructed to return the USB connector and operator information assembly, follow all
packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
