In this method, update can be executed with the EPSON
C H E C K
P O I N T
Firmware Updater instead of Firmware Update Tool.
Step Explanation
1 Print a Configuration Status Sheet, and check
the current version.
2 Connect the printer to the computer with a
USB cable.
Confirm that the "Ready" is displayed on the
LCD.
3 Turn the computer on and copy the firmware
data file (RCC format) to any directory of the
computer.

Step Explanation
4 Start up the Firmware Update Tool.
Specify the port and the program update file
on the selection window of the tool.
5 Click [Send] on the Firmware Update Tool
screen.
6 "Completion" pop-up window will be
displayed when the data transfer is finished.
Click [OK].
The data LED flashes and "Writing ROM P"
will be displayed on the LCD when data
reception and program update are executed
on the printer.
