MADISON 250

MOTOR OIL

TESTING

•Position the motorcycle so that to

be perfectly vertical on its central

stand, start the engine and leave

that it gets appropriately warm. Then

stop the engine and wait for a few

minutes so that the oil stabilises.

•Untighten and remove the cap which

is equipped with a little graduated

r o d ( A ) .

•Clean the little rod and replace it

into the motor case compartment,

•Extract the little rod controlling the

oil level. The optional level is

contained between the notches of

MIN. and MAX. on the rod. In case

the level results to be lower, top

up with oil:

Q8 CLASS 10W-40

OIL CHANGE

out when the engine is already warm.

•Place an adequate container

underneath the engine.

•Remove the control rod (A - F. 19).

•Unscrew with care the oil drain plug

(B - F. 20) and remove it (be careful

not to get scalded).

•Leave that the oil flows out

completely.

•Clean the wire gauze

with the adequate solvent.

•Check the state of the l i n i n g

F. 21) and change it if necessary.

•Replace the lining (3), the spring

(2 - F. 21) and the wire gauze (1).

•Tighten the oil drain plug "unit" (B -

F. 20) and fasten it to the appointed

torque wrench setting.

•Supply engine with the following oil:

Q8 CLASS 10W - 40

( m a x . q u a n t i t y 1 , 4 l . ) .

•Screw again the control rod

( A - F . 1 9 ) .

•Dispose of the exhausted oil in full

compliance with the regulations in

f o r c e .

•Start the engine. Leave that it gets

warm and then stop it by checking

again the oil level and be sure of

the total absence of oil leakages.

•Mettre la moto en position

parfaitement verticale sur la béquille

centrale, démarrer le moteur et le

laisser tourner. Arrêter le moteur et

attendre quelques minutes pour que

l ' h u i l e s e s t a b i l i s e .

•Dévisser et enlever le bouchon

muni de jauge (A).

•Nettoyer la jauge et la remettre,

sans la visser.

•Extraire la jauge en vérifiant le

niveau de l'huile. Le niveau optimal

est compris entre les encoches

MIN. e t MAX. indiquées sur la

jauge. Si le niveau est inférieur,

remettre à niveau avec de l'huile:

Q8 CLASS 10W-40.

•Placer un récipient adéquat sous le

moteur.

•Extraire la jauge (A - F. 19).

•Laisser couler toute l'huile.

•Nettoyer l a g r i l l e

•Visser le "groupe" bouchon de

vidange (B - F. 20) et le serrer

suivant le couple indiqué.

• • • • • Ravitailler le moteur en huile :

Q8 CLASS 10w - 40

(quantité max. 1,4l).

•Revisser la jauge (A - F. 19).

•Eliminer l'huile usée conformément

aux Réglementations en vigueur.

•Allumer le moteur. Le laisser tourner

puis l'éteindre en vérifiant de

nouveau le niveau et l'absence

totale de fuites d'huile.

C O N T R O L

p e r f e c t a m e n t e v e r t i c a l s o b r e e l s o p o r t e

c e n t r a l , p o n e r e l m o t o r e n m a r c h a y d e j a r

que se caliente. Parar seguidamente el

motor y esperar algunos minutos hasta

q u e e l a c e i t e s e e s t a b i l i z e .

•Desatornillar y quitar el tapón

provisto de varilla de medición (A).

•Limpiar la varilla e introducirla

nuevamente en el asiento, sin

enroscarla.

•E x t r a e r l a v a r i l l a v e r i f i c a n d o e l n i v e l

de aceite. El nivel óptimo está

comprendido entre los índices de

nivel MIN. y MAX. En caso de que

e l n i v e l r e s u l t e i n f e r i o r , r e l l e n a r c o n

a c e i t e :

Q8 CLASS 10W-40.

SUSTITUCION

Nota:

Nota: la sustitución del aceite se

efectúa con el motor caliente.

•Colocar un recipiente adecuado

debajo del motor.

•Extraer la varilla de medición

( A - F . 1 9 ) .

•Desenroscar con cuidado el tapón

de vaciado (B - F. 20) y quitarlo

(atención peligro de quemaduras).

un solvente adecuado.

•Controlar el estado de la guarnición

( 3 - F . 2 1 ) y e v e n t u a l m e n t e s u s t i t u i r l a .

• Volver a montar la guarnición (3), el

muelle

muelle ( 2 - F . 2 1 ) y l a r e d e c i l l a ( 1 ) .

•Enroscar el "grupo" tapón de

vaciado (B - F. 20) y apretarlo según

el par de apriete indicado.

•Llenar el motor con aceite:

Q8 CLASS 10W - 40

(cantidad máx. 1,4 l).

•Volver a enroscar la varilla de

medición (A - F. 19).

•Eliminar el aceite usado en el

respeto de las normativas vigentes.

• Poner el motor en marcha. Esperar

hasta

que

caliente

seguidamente, apagarlo. Controlar

nuevamente el nivel y que no haya

ninguna pérdida de aceite.
