CN4093 Application Guide for N/OS 8.2
Component
Description
PC #4
A member of VLAN 3, this PC can only communicate with
Server 1 and Server 2. The associated external switch port has
tagging disabled.
PC #5
A member of both VLAN 1 and VLAN 2, this PC has a
VLAN‐tagging Gigabit Ethernet adapter installed. It can
communicate with Server 2 and PC 3 via VLAN 1, and to Server 2,
PC 1 and PC 2 via VLAN 2. The associated external switch port is a
member of VLAN 1 and VLAN 2, and has tagging enabled.
Note: VLAN tagging is required only on ports that are connected to other CN4093s
or on ports that connect to tag-capable end-stations, such as servers with
VLAN-tagging adapters.
