STARTING SYSTEM

CHECKING THE STARTER RELAY

Check:
• Starter relay continuity
No continuity
Checking steps:
(1)Connect the tester and battery between
the starter relay terminals
• Positive digital tester probe 1
Starter relay terminal
• Negative digital tester probe 2
Starter relay terminal
• Positive battery terminal
Brown lead 3
• Negative battery terminal
Black lead 4
(2)Check that there is continuity between
the starter relay terminal.
CHECKING THE FUEL ENRICHMENT
VALVE
Check:
• Cable wire operation
Does not function
Checking steps:
(1)Connect a 12 V battery
• Blue lead 1
• Black lead 2
(2)Check the cable wire 3 for smooth
movement
