CRANKSHAFT ASSEMBLY AND CYLINDER BODY
2. Measure:
• Piston pin diameter
(with a micrometer)
Out of specification
Piston pin diameter:
19.895 - 19.900 mm
(0.7833 - 0.7835 in)
3. Measure:
• Piston pin boss inside diameter
(with a micrometer)
Out of specification
Piston pin boss inside diameter:
19.904 - 19.915 mm
(0.7836 - 0.7841 in)

CHECKING THE PISTON RINGS

NOTE:
• Before checking the piston rings, be sure to
check the cylinder body.
• Piston rings should be replaced as a set
(per piston).
1. Check:
• Piston ring
Breakage/damage
2. Measure:
• Piston ring end gap
(with a thickness gauge)
Out of specification
Piston ring end gap:
0.30 - 0.50 mm(0.012 - 0.020 in)
Piston ring end gap limit:
0.07 mm (0.028 in)
Measuring point "H":
20 mm (0.8 in)
NOTE:
Push the piston ring into the cylinder with the
piston crown.
