CHECKING THE CRANKSHAFT

1. Measure:
• Crankshaft width
• Crankshaft width
Out of specification
Crankshaft width
57.90 - 57.95 mm (2.280 - 2.281 in)
Crankshaft width
35.90 - 36.10 mm (1.413 - 1.421 in)
2. Measure:
• Crankshaft runout
(with V-blocks and a dial gauge)
Out of specification
Crankshaft ru nout limit:
0.05 mm (0.002 in)
3. Measure:
• Small-end axial play
(with a dial gauge)
Out of specification
Small-end axial play:
2.0 mm (0.08 in)
