CONTROL SYSTEM

SYNCHRONIZING THE CARBURETOR

CAUTION
Do not adjust the carburetor when it is
operating properly. Excessive adjustment
may cause the engine poor perfomance.
1. Check:
• Engine idling speed
Unstable
2. Adjust:
• Carburetor synchronization.
Adjusting steps:
(1) Loosen the throttle stop screw 1 of
carburetor #2 and fully close the
throttle valve.
(2) Loosen the throttle lever securing
screws 2 of carburetor #1 and
carburetor #2 by turning the screws
clockwise.
NOTE:
The throttle lever securing srews have a left-
hand thread (reverse thread), so turn them
clockwise to loosen them.
(3) While lightly pushing the throttle lever
3 of the carburetor #3 in the direction
of the arrow (full-closed), tighten the
throttle lever securing screws 2 of
carburetor #1 and carburetor #2 by
turning the screws counterclockwise.
