Belt
Perform the following procedures first:
1. Remove the Rear cover.
2. Remove the Top cover asm..
Then:
1. Open the top cover and remove the ribbon.
2. Move the printhead to the center of the printer.
3. Remove the printhead cable clamp.
4. Remove the printhead screws.
5. Disconnect the encoder cable from the printhead connector.
Do not disconnect the other cables.
Place the printhead by the carriage.
6. Remove the drive belt from the motor pulley.
7. Loosen the belt clamp screw.
8. Remove the idler pulley and the drive belt.
Installation notes
1. Ensure that the front edge of the belt is flush with the front
edge of the belt clamp.
2. Perform the following:
a. Carriage drive belt
b. Bidirectional Printing
c. Standard AFTA service check and adjustment
