Installing a Hard Drive

Follow the instructions for handling static-sensitive devices described on
page 154.
Use the following procedure to install a hard drive:
1. Ensure that printer is powered off and unplugged from the wall outlet.
2. The side cover must be removed before installing the hard drive. Follow
the procedure "Removing the Side Cover" on page 148.
3. Unpack the hard drive.
4. Position the hard drive with the four screws facing the four matching
holes on the controller card.
5. Push the hard drive firmly into the card and slide it down toward the
connector at the bottom of the controller card. The pins on the hard drive
