Turn off the printer and copy the binary file again.
5. While the file is copied into the flash memory, the following message flashes:
WRITING BASE CODE
PLEASE WAIT
6. When the file has been successfully loaded into flash memory the following message appears:
BASE CODE LOADED
This message is posted for 3 seconds, then the printer automatically restarts with the new code in use.
Error messages
While the file is copied into the flash memory, some error messages may appear. These error messages have
the following format:
<FOUND ERROR xx>
where xx is the error number identifier.
If an error is displayed, turn off the printer and copy the binary file again.

Error found during the checksum verification of the flash BIOS sector.

Error found during the CRC-32 verification of the base code loaded.

Error found during the execution of the algorithms used to erase/ write the flash memory.
7. When the download is completed, turn off the printer and remove the parallel cable. Install the LAN card if
needed.
8. Turn on the printer. After the first normal initialization, an information message might appear:
