The neighbor is in the management "enable" status by default.
Many neighbor attribute configuration commands may cause the
inconsistency of the route handlings or neighbor reset. To mini-
mize the network flapping, it is recommended to have the neighbor
enter the management shut down status before the configuration
is completed.
This example describes how to configure the BGP neighbor
2000::1 to enter the management shut down status.
ZXR10(config)#router bgp 1
ZXR10(config-router)#neighbor 2000::1 shut-down

neighbor soft-reconfiguration

Use this command to configure the neighbor or neighbor peer
group to support soft reset. Restore default with the no form of
this command.

<ipv6-address>
<peer-group-name>
This command is disabled by default
When local BGP policy is adjusted, the routes that are previously
denied may be enabled. If this command is not configured, the
neighbor will retransmit routes, and thus it must be reset. After
this command is used, the routes that are previously denied can
be enabled again without resetting the neighbor.
However, this command may cause that the router stores many
denied routes and uses many memories. As a result, it is recom-
mended to use the command under the guide of network expert.
If the neighbor supports route refreshing capability, there is no
need to configure this command. In other words, even if this com-
mand is configured, it will not act.
This example describes how to configure the BGP neighbor
2000::1 to support soft reconfiguration.
