Placing the Documents

Place the document face
down on the document
feeder.
Centre the document and
adjust the paper guides so
that they lightly touch the
edges of the document.
You can place up to 20 sheets in the document feeder. Make sure the
documents are well placed and aligned before starting the transmission.
If the paper is curled or the sheets stick to each other, several pages may
be drawn in together. This can lead to document jams and faulty
transmissions. In this case, place the sheets individually in the document
feeder to ensure a correct feeding of the documents.
The standard memory holds roughly 10 pages A4 sized pages of text.
Take care that the indicated memory capacity does not drop to 0 (%)
while scanning documents, because this will terminate the process.

If this occurs repeatedly, contact your technical service to upgrade
the capacity of the memory. Until then you should send large
documents in direct mode, i.e. with the memory turned off.
