5 Receiving

5.1

Manual Receiving

Generaly it is only sensible to receive a fax telephone call if you are
expecting voice telephone calls on the same line. This should be kept in
mind when the reception mode is set. Receiving telephone calls is only
possible through an external telephone.
Use the [MODUS/CLEAR] to select TEL. This is the mode for

manual receiving.
When the telephone rings, lift up the receiver or press [HOOK] and if

it is a fax call, then [START].
The data is first saved in memory and then printed out.

Automatic Receiving

To recieve fax transmissions automatically, press the [MODUS/CLEAR]
key until the display shows FAX.
After a determined ring counter the machine answers each call. How to
set the ring counter is explained later on in this chapter.
Description
This setting does not require any other
entries.
