The Image Cartridge

In this laser fax, characters and images are created through a process
that applies toner to the page in the machine's developing section. The
toner used in this operation is supplied from the "heart" of the machine,
the image cartridge.
The image cartridge should be handled with care to ensure proper
performance at all times. Be sure to avoid exposing the cartridge to direct
sunlight or any other direct light. Store the cartridge in an environment that
is not subject to extreme heat or humidity. Detailed information on the
care and handling of the Image cartridge is provided with the shipment of
new cartridges.
The image cartridge should be replaced every 5.600 pages (provided that
the black-to-white ratio is 4% or less). Instructions how to replace the
cartridge is given in the chapter on maintenance.
The image cartridge is made of non-hazardous material, and may be
disposed off freely.
Please consult the regulations for the disposal of such products in your
area.
Used image cartridges may be taken back by the technical service station
as a part of the maintenance procedures.
.
To avoid damage to the image cartridge caused by light, cover it with a
cloth as soon as removed from the fax.
