INITIAL ACTIONS
Check that the paper supply is dry and fresh.

Check that rollers and other components in the paper

path are clean and unobstructed.
Ensure that the paper is within specification.

OBSERVE PAPER FEED

Observe paper feed as you run a Test Print.
Is the paper fed crooked?

PAPER REPLACEMENT
1. Replace paper with fresh, dry standard paper.
2. Run a Test Print.
Is the paper still damaged?

FUSER INSPECTION
1. Open the Exit Assembly.
Warning:
2. Remove the Fuser Assembly.
3. Turn the Fuser Assembly upside down.
4. Rotate the fuser idler gear manually and inspect the
Heat Roller.
5. Turn the Fuser Assembly right side up.
6. Open the fuse jam access cover.
7. Rotate the fuser idler gear manually and inspect the
Pressure Roller.
Are the Heat and Pressure Rollers free of
scratches (damage) and contamination?

The printed page comes out of the printer either
wrinkled, creased, or torn.
If the printer has been powered ON,
the Fuser will be hot. Use extreme care
when handling the Fuser.
