Use clips or the like to pinch the covering plastic sheet on the protrusion in front of the belt cleaning unit.
Secure the plastic sheet so that it does not wrinkle, such as by floating up in the wind.

Attach the edge of the plastic sheet on the front side to the belt cleaning unit with curing tape.
F
Push the belt cleaning unit part way till it is open by about 15 cm [0.59 inches].
Push the plastic sheet back so that it does not touch or stick to the belt.
