Inspection/Cleaning Procedure

Checking the Area Around Operating Parts

Inspect the area around operating parts before turning on the power.
Inspection items
Check if there are any tools, hardware, or other items in the area.
❏ Remove tools and hardware.
If you turn on the power when there are tools, hardware, and other such items placed on the belt, they may get
caught in the belt or print head, resulting in damage to the printer. Before turning on the power, make sure
that there are no objects on the belt, around the print head, or near any other moving parts.
Check for any dirt or dust.
❏ If the operating parts are dirty, wipe them clean using a cleaning cloth dampened with water.

❏ Clean the cleaning brushes and scraper if they are dirty.

Is the tape peeling off?
❏ Is the tape on the tension roller peeling off?
If the tape on the tension roller is peeling or torn, cut off the area and re-attach it so that it does not stick up.

Are there any signs of ink pooling or leaks around the printer?
❏ If there is an ink leak inside the machine, clean the ink path.

❏ If there is an ink leak around the place where the ink supply units are loaded, check whether the ink supply
units are properly loaded and that the ink supply tubes are not damaged. If there is any visible damage, contact
our qualified service personnel.

Are there any water leaks around the printer?
❏ Check to see if there are leaks in the drain pipe joint located at the bottom of the belt cleaning unit or if it is
loose. If it is leaking or loose, tighten it.
