NTP Server

Set the NTP server to obtain the current time when using DirectScan.
Click [NTP Server] under [Linking with Server] to display the window.
ATTENTION
To use DirectScan, the time on the scanner needs to be synced with the time on the NTP server
in advance.
Note that the scanner cannot be connected to an NTP server that requires authentication when
syncing the time.
Acquisition Method
Set the method for obtaining the IP address of the NTP server.
● Obtain automatically (DHCP/Default Gateway)
This is the factory default setting.
HINT
One of the following conditions needs to be met:
● The information obtained from the DHCP server needs to include the NTP server
information.
● The NTP server is enabled on the default gateway.
● Obtain from Public Server
"pool.ntp.org" is used to connect to an NTP server.
● Configure manually
When [Configure manually] is selected, specify the following items:
- Primary
- Secondary
Timezone
Set the timezone of the region where the scanner is used.
Set the time difference from Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
To apply daylight saving time, adjust the time by adding the extra summer time hour(s) to the
standard time.
[Apply to the scanner] button
Applies the configured settings.
The obtained time is displayed in the window. If the current time cannot be obtained, check
the message and take measures accordingly.
