QA Testing of Integrated Appliance
QA testing of the integrated appliance includes tests to verify hardware failures, software updates, and
firmware updates. The tests in this section are often manually executed and may need access to the physical
server. This is a list of the current Lenovo QA test scripts:
• Upgrade SSD firmware version
• Upgrade HDD firmware version
• Upgrade Boot Drive SSD firmware
• Upgrade N2215 HBA firmware
• Upgrade M1215 RAID card firmware
• Upgrade SAS Backplane firmware
• Upgrade 10gE NIC (Intel x520
• Upgrade uEFI code
• Upgrade IMM2 firmware
• Simplified disk replacement procedure for non-metadata boot drive SSD failure
• Simplified disk replacement procedure for metadata boot drive SSD failure
• Simplified disk replacement procedure for HDD failure
• Alert on pulling out 1x HDD
• Alert on pulling out non-metadata boot drive SSD
• Alert on pulling out metadata boot drive SSD
• Alerts on system temperature
