The electric parking brake is released.

The transmission is in position h.

All the doors are closed.

Check of the radar sensor system has been

Snow chain mode is not active

Variable limiter:
The variable limiter is selected.

J Adopts the stored/detected speed

1 Increases/decreases the speed

Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC
To operate Active Distance Assist

swipe on the control panel.

Activating the variable limiter or Active Dis‐

To activate without a stored speed: press

M, N or J. Active Distance
Assist DISTRONIC: remove your foot from
the accelerator pedal.
The current vehicle speed is stored and
maintained (Active Distance Assist
DISTRONIC) or limited (variable limiter) by
the vehicle.

J. Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC:
remove your foot from the accelerator pedal.
The last stored speed is called up and the
vehicle maintains this speed (Active Distance
