Verify that the state of plane 0 is Offline.
Take the remaining fabric planes offline by issuing the

command—that is, by changing the fabric plane number each time. Verify
1/2/3 offline
that the fabric planes are offline by issuing the command given in Step 4.
Take the SCB-MX in slot 0 offline by issuing the

command.
Verify that the control board is offline:

Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect

the strap to one of the ESD points on the chassis.
Remove and replace the offline SCB-MX on the router with the SCBE-MX. Use the

replacement procedure described in

332.
Verify that the installation is successful and SCB 0 is online by issuing the

command:

Verify that the fabric planes come online correctly by issuing the
