Convenience features
Power tailgate (if equipped)
The power tailgate open/close button
automatically opens and closes the
tailgate.
Before using the power tailgate
The power tailgate operates when the
ignition switch is in the ON position
with the gear in P (Park, for automatic
transmission vehicle) or the gear in
neutral (for manual transmission vehicle).
However, the tailgate will operate
regardless of the gear position when the
engine is off.
For safety, before attempting to open or
close the tailgate, make sure the vehicle
is stopped.
WARNING
• Never leave children unattended in
your vehicle. Children may operate
the power tailgate. Doing so could
result in injury to themselves or
others, and could damage the
vehicle.
• Make sure there are no people or
objects around the tailgate before
operating the power tailgate. Wait
until the tailgate is opened fully and
stopped before loading or unloading
cargo or passengers from the
vehicle.
NOTICE
Do not close or open the power
tailgate manually. This may cause
damage to the power tailgate. If it is
necessary to close or open the power
tailgate manually when the battery is
discharged or disconnected, do not
apply excessive force.

Power tailgate opening height
setting
The driver may set the height of a fully
opened tailgate by following the below
instruction.
The tailgate opening height can be
adjusted within the infotainment system.
• If power tailgate function is turned off,
you cannot adjust the power tailgate
opening height.
• Initial height of power tailgate is set as
"Full Open".
Level 3/Level 2/Level 1/User Height
Setting " in order to adjust your vehicle's
tailgate height.
After finishing the following instructions,
the driver can use the "User Height
setting" option.
1. Position the tailgate manually to the
height you prefer.
2. Press and hold the tailgate close
button for approximately 3 seconds.
3. After the beep sound, the setup is
finished.
4. The tailgate will open up to the height
set by the driver.
