Switch off the ignition and remove the
key.

You cannot deactivate tow-away protection
if the ignition is switched on.
Press button 1.
The indicator lamp 2 on the button
lights up briefly.
Press the ‹ button on the key.
Tow-away protection remains deactivated
until you lock the vehicle again.
Interior motion sensor
A visual and audible alarm is triggered if
your vehicle is locked and movement is de-
tected inside, e.g. if someone reaches into
the vehicle interior.
Priming the interior motion sensor
Make sure that:
the centre console armrest is
closed
the boot is closed
Only then is it possible to prime the in-
terior motion sensor.
Press the ‹ button on the key.
The interior motion sensor is primed af-
ter approximately 30 seconds.
Safety
Anti-theft systems

To prevent false alarms, observe the follow-
ing:
Do not leave anything on or next to the cen-
tre console armrest.
Do not place any metallic objects which are
in contact with each other (e.g. keys on a key
ring) under the centre console armrest.
When using the rain cover (holiday cover)
( page 181) deactivate the interior motion
sensor.
