Cockpit
All the instruments, switches, buttons
and warning and indicator lamps in the
passenger compartment of your vehi-
cle necessary for monitoring and con-
trolling the vehicle.
Control unit
Component of the engine electronics
that controls the function of the en-
gine.
Cruise control
System which enables a vehicle speed
set by the driver to be maintained auto-
matically.

Drive train
Collective term for all vehicle compo-
nents which belong to the drive, such
as
the engine
the clutch
the transmission
the propeller shafts
the differential
the drive shafts
the wheels
ELCODE
(Electronic Code System)
System which electronically checks
whether a person entering or driving
the vehicle is entitled to do so, and
which forms part of the anti-theft alarm
system of Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
Electric system support point*
Retrofit connection with a positive and
negative terminal for operating addi-
tional electrical equipment from the
consumer battery.
