Risk of injury
The quarter-turn fasteners may become hot
during vehicle operation. You could get
burned when releasing the quarter-turn fas-
teners. Therefore, let the quarter-turn fas-
teners cool off before releasing them.
Release quarter-turn fasteners 1 us-
ing a 4 mm hex key.
The 4 mm hex key required is located in
the documentation case ( page 235).
The bonnet release lever is located in the
G
driver's footwell.
2 Release lever

Make sure that there is sufficient clearance
before opening the bonnet. A minimum clear-
ance in front of the vehicle of 40 cm is required.
Pull release lever 2 downwards.

If it was not possible to release the bonnet,
pull the release lever 2 downwards more firmly.
