The passenger front airbag was
activated while driving although
the passenger seat is unoccu-
pied.
Practical advice
Display messages
Stop the vehicle. Pay attention to the traffic conditions
when doing so.
Switch off the ignition.
Remove any other objects from the passenger seat.
Switch on the ignition.
Observe the 56 indicator lamp on the centre
console as well as the messages in the multi-function
display for at least 60 seconds.
When the 56 indicator lamp remains on and no
messages appears in the multi-function display, the pas-
senger seat may be occupied again. Depending on the
weight that the occupant classification system deter-
mines, the 56 indicator lamp remains on or goes
out.
