Loading and stowing

Risk of injury
Items on the passenger seat could cause in-
juries in the event of sharp braking, a sud-
den change of direction, or in an accident.
Therefore, never place items on the passen-
ger seat.
The passenger footwell can be used to stow
items provided they are secured sufficiently.
Always stow heavy items in the boot.

Heavy items on the passenger seat could
trigger the occupant classification system.
The passenger air bag could be deployed in
an accident. Personal injury and severe
damage to the vehicle could be the result.
Never place heavy items on the passenger
seat. Never use the passenger seat as a
stowage compartment, even when the pas-
senger-side tonneau is installed.

Mesh pocket in passenger footwell

Only use the mesh pocket in the passenger
footwell to transport light items. Do not use
it to transport any heavy, sharp-edged or
breakable objects. You and others could
otherwise be injured by objects being
thrown around in the event of:
sharp braking
a sudden change of direction
an accident
