Unlocking in an emergency
Unlocking the driver's door
If you can no longer lock or unlock the
doors using the key, unlock the driver's
door using the emergency release catch.
The emergency release catch is located on
the left-hand side in the boot.
1 Emergency release catch

Unlock the boot ( page 311).
Pull emergency release catch 1.
The door is unlocked.

If it still is not possible to unlock the door,
pull more firmly on the emergency release
catch 1.
Open the door in the normal way.
Consult your PLM or a qualified special-
ist workshop, e.g. an SLR Service
Centre.
