Risk of accident
The SBC Hold braking effect is interrupted
and the vehicle could roll away if:
SBC Hold is deactivated by a vehicle oc-
cupant depressing the accelerator pedal
or the brake pedal
there is a malfunction in the system or in
the power supply (e.g. battery failure)
the electrical system in the engine com-
partment or the fuses have been tam-
pered with
the battery is disconnected
If you wish to leave or park the vehicle, de-
activate SBC Hold and secure the vehicle
against rolling away ( page 64).

display if:
the driver's door is opened
the ignition is switched off
the bonnet is opened
To prevent the vehicle from rolling away:
Move the selector lever immediately to
position P.
SBC Hold is deactivated and the warn-
ing in the multi-function display goes
out.
In addition to the warning in the multi-func-

tion display, the horn will sound intermit-
tently, if SBC Hold is activated and you:
open the bonnet
switch off the engine and open the driv-
er's door

The horn sounds to draw your attention to
the fact that the vehicle has been stopped with
SBC Hold activated.
It intensifies if you attempt to lock the vehicle.
