Automatic air conditioning
Switching on
There are several ways to switch the auto-
matic air conditioning back on:
Press the M button again.
The indicator lamp on the M button
goes out.
or
Adjust one of the automatic air condi-
tioning rotary controls.
The indicator lamp on the M button
goes out.

Cooling with dehumidification

The cooling function is operational when
the engine is running and cools according
to the temperature selected for the vehicle
interior.
If you switch off the cooling, the vehicle
will not be cooled in the event of warm
weather conditions.

Condensation may drip from the underside
of the vehicle.
Switching off
You can switch off the cooling. The air in
the vehicle will then no longer be cooled.
Press the ± button ( page 154).
The indicator lamp on the ± button
lights up.

Under certain circumstances, e.g. when the
fuel system needs to be cooled, the cooling
switches on again automatically ( page 282).
Switching on
Press the ± button again.
The indicator lamp on the ± button
goes out.
