Practical advice
Flat tyre
If a tyre pressure of at least 1.8 bar is not
obtained after five minutes:
If this tyre pressure is not obtained,
switch off the electric air pump, discon-
nect it and drive the vehicle forwards
and backwards about 10 m (30 feet).
This distributes the TIREFIT sealant
more evenly.
Disconnect the sealant bottle from the
electric pump.
Pump up the tyre again.

Risk of accident
If a tyre pressure of 1.8 bar cannot be
reached within five minutes, this means that
the tyre is too badly damaged.
Do not drive any further. Consult your PLM
or a qualified specialist workshop which has
the necessary specialist knowledge and
tools for the work to be done.
Mercedes-Benz recommends that you have
such work carried out at an SLR Service
Centre. In particular, work relevant to safety
or on safety-related systems must be car-
ried out at a qualified specialist workshop.
If a tyre pressure of at least 1.8 bar is ob-
tained after five minutes:
Switch off the electric air pump.
Turn the key to position 0 in the igni-
tion lock.
Disconnect the electric air pump.
Pull away immediately.
This allows the TIREFIT sealant to
spread throughout the tyre.
Stop after about ten minutes and
check the tyre pressure with the air
pump.
