Troubleshooting the Avaya Room System XT Series
Headset connection
Solution
If you are using a USB headset, ensure it is connected to the lower USB port on the XT Series.
Connecting an headset to the upper USB port will cause choppy audio.
Audio input and output
Audio input and output may not be working properly.
Solution
1. Access audio tests. From the XT Series web interface, select Diagnostics > I/O
Connections > Audio > Tests. From the endpoint's main menu, select Configure >
System Status > Diagnostics > I/O Connections > Audio > Tests.
2. Select Local tone to check the audio input received by the endpoint. Verify the test
completed successfully.

3. Select Tx tone
endpoint. If the test is completed successfully, the Done message is displayed.
HDMI compatibility
Important:
If the tone level is not constant but increases and decreases (the tone is amplitude
modulated), the HDMI monitor is incompatible with the XT Codec Unit or not set properly.
