This mode requires IT Administrator access to the Microsoft Exchange server to create a
standard email account for your endpoint.
• Room resource and delegate account mode: Use this mode to create a room resource
associated with your endpoint. You can add the endpoint as a room resource to the meeting.
You can create a delegate account to be able to see the room calendar. This mode requires
IT Administrator access to the Microsoft Exchange server to create room resources and one
or more delegate accounts.
A standard Microsoft Outlook account has an email address and a password. A room resource
account only has an email address and no password. To access a room calendar, a delegate
standard account is required.
In order to retrieve a calendar, the XT Series must be able to access the EWS Address over the
Internet or on a private network. Your IT Administrator must enable this service.
Your company network, including firewalls and proxies, must allow a HTTPS connection from the
XT Series endpoint to the Microsoft Exchange server address (on premises or in the cloud).

Configuring a calendar

About this task
You must configure a number of settings in order to enable your XT Series to integrate with a
calendar.
Before you begin
Decide which mode of operation you wish to implement.
Procedure
1. Access the calendar settings. From the XT Series web interface, select Administrator
Settings > Calendar > General. From the endpoint, select Configure > Advanced >
Calendar.
2. Configure the settings as described in
3. From the web interface only, select Save.
If a meeting is marked as Private in Microsoft Outlook, the meeting title is replaced with the
phrase 'Private Meeting' on the XT Series integrated calendar.
The XT Series integrated calendar merges calendar items from the Microsoft Exchange
calendar and the Avaya Meetings Management calendar. The same conventions are
applied to both types of calendar item. For example, within five minutes of the meeting
start time, the XT Series displays a Join Now button if the calendar items contain a
meeting address to dial, according to the configured FQDN mapping.
