To remove a hard disk from the JA2500 appliance, do the following:
Place the antistatic bag or antistatic mat on a flat, stable surface.

(Optional) Attach an ESD grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect the strap

to an external ESD point.
Turn the hard disk locking screw counterclockwise to the unlock position, as shown

in
Figure 24 on page
164, to unlock the hard disk lever.
Push the screw knob (button) in so that the hard disk lever is released.

Gently pull the hard disk lever outwards, and slide the hard disk out of the slot. Keep

one hand underneath the hard disk to support it while removing it from the chassis.
Place the hard drive in the antistatic bag or on the antistatic mat placed on a flat,
6.
stable surface.
