You must configure the basic settings for your appliance before you can use it to

There are three ways to power off or power down a Junos Space Appliance:
Using the management console
Using the appliance power switch
Using the Junos Space Network Management Platform. Refer to the Shutting Down or
Rebooting Nodes in the Junos Space Fabric topic in the Junos Space Network Management
Platform Workspaces Feature Guide (available at

You can power off the Junos Space Appliance from the Junos Space CLI by using the
management console.
Before you begin, do the following:
Connect the Junos Space Appliance to a management console. Refer to
a Junos Space Appliance to a Management Console" on page 88
Configure a console terminal or terminal emulation utility to use the following serial
connection parameters:
Baud rate: 9600 bits per second
Data: 8 bits
Flow control: None
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Ensure that the appliance is booted and the console displays the login prompt.
