Removing the Bin Assembly
1. While referring to "1. Rear door _ Removal" of
Section "6-3. Removal of the Shipping Metal Fix-
tures", open the rear door.
2. Use the screwdriver (long shaft type) to remove the
screws securing the side bin plate around the bin
assembly to be removed.
3. Draw the side bin plate in the direction of the arrow
and remove the side bin plate while inclining it until it
is removed from the right and left guides.
4. Remove the four screws and remove the bin assembly.

To install the fifth drive in DMS-B210S and the third drive
in DMS-B110S, add the following procedure to remove the
bin assembly after steps 1 through 3.
1 Loosen the two PWH4 x 8 (b) screws.
2 Remove the four PWH4 x 8 (a) screws and remove the bin assembly.
3 Fasten the two PWH4 x 8 (b) screws again.

6-9-2. Extension Console
The GY-2120 or GY-8240/DIR-240 and VTR of 4U (or
5U) can be installed in the extension console.

Attach the VTRs or tape drives of the same model to the
top and bottom stages.
Installation Procedures of the Drives

. The unit is set for installing the VTR of 5U when
shipped from the factory. To install the VTR of 4U,
change the setting.
. Feet must be replaced before installing the GY-2120 and
VTR. Replace the original feet with those supplied with
the extension console.
. When installing the HDCAM VTR (HDW-500/HDW-
F500), slant the control panel at 15d (the front surface
should be slanted at about 30 d) as shown in the figure
and fix it at the position.
For the procedure of opening and closing the control
panel, refer to the HDCAM VTR Maintenance Manual.
(When the BKDW-515 is attached to the front panel of
PWH4 x 8
the VTR, set the control panel in the same way.)

Replacing the Feet
Remove the two screws, remove the front two feet from the
bottom of the unit, then replace these with the supplied two
feet (VTR feet assembly : X-3068-172-1).
