headlight center, measured on aiming.
NOTE. A vehicle is !'ettled in practice when it
has run the mileage specified for the first free
voucher service.
To aim headlights switch on the low beam (outer
lamps) and work on the screw (2, fig. 552) for vertical
adjustments, and on the screw (4) for horizontal ad-
justments, until the following conditions are obtained:
- the horizor.tal separation line between the unlit
and lit areas lies on line b-b;
- the upward slanting (some 150) separation
lines start from the meeting points

To aim the high beam of
inner headlamps
turn
on the high beam and work: on screw (2, fig. 552)
for vertical adjustments and on screw (4) for horizon-
tal adjustments.
The center of the zone of highest intensity (hot
spot) should thus fall on intersection

horizontal line b'-b' and two vertical lines a-a (fig-
ure 553).

beam divergence, is tolerated.
NOTE - Recall that headlamps should be aimed
as follows:
-
low beam, by working solely on outer head-
light screwsj
-
high beam, by working solely on inner head-
light screws.
INNER LIGHTING
Two dome lamps fitted to side pillar posts provide
car interior illumination.
For replacement of dome lamp bulb just remove
lamp· mounting screws and pull to overcome the
force of bulb spring retainers (fig. 554).
NOTE· Prior to removal of dome lamp, take off
fuse N° 30
