1. Numbering plan identifier of the public
network as per ITU-T
2. Parameter value of parameter ® NPI
Guarantee that the system does not propagate any electro-
magnetic interference fields that exceed standardized limits
and which could cause disruptions to other equipment and/or
systems in the vicinity. Protection against such fields originat-
ing from other equipment or systems in the vicinity.
Equipment identification: Part of the ® licensing information
Small, replaceable card containing the ® licensing information
Short for ® public network
Network interface to the connection to the public network
Dial tone supplied by the public network provider ® Tone sig-
nalling in the handset
Designates the public network < -> PBX transmission link; on
the PBX, connected to a ® network interface
Access to an ® exchange line circuit
Prefix of a call number that enables ® exchange access
Used for "public network" (the private network is not external
but PISN-internal)
Call from or into the public network
Call number of an incoming call from the public network with
