1. INITIAL SETTING AND ADJUSTMENT

[Details]
[I/F monitor] Click [Start] to monitor the input sentences from the interface.

Sets the serial communication format.
• [Baud rate]: Sets the baud rate. For high-speed
signal input (such as AIS and Gyro) or TTD
output, set the baud rate as 38,400 bps The
available serial ports with communication in
38,400 bps are [Serial 01] to [Serial 04].
• [Data bit]: Sets the number of the data bit.
• [Parity bit]: Select [Odd] or [Even] for the parity
bit. The parity bit is used in parity error check-
ing to find errors during data transmission. For
no parity bit, select [None].
• [Stop bit]: Sets the stop bit (last data bit location).

• [Timeout (sec)]*
: When the data is not input during the time set here, tim-
eout alert occurs.

• [First Time]*
: Activate the checkbox to adjust the setting. Adjust the tim-
eout for detecting the first signal.

• [Continuation]*
: Activate the checkbox to adjust the setting. Adjust the
timeout for detecting a lost signal.

• [Slave Address]*
: Sets the slave address for the Modbus communication.

• [Input] button*
: Sets the address and the
signal bit for each alert on the [Modbus In-
put] window. On this window, alerts whose
[Input Type] is set for [MODBUS] when set-
ting alert definition (see section 1.8.6) ap-
pear.
• [Forward sensor data]*
box to forward data input from the serial port to the sensor adapter. Nor-
mally keep the default setting (unchecked).
